Anita’s favourite day of the week

Anita and her husband Giorgi went to South America for the 2014 World Cup, and to pass time while travelling, they played a silly made-up-game of personal trivia. Anita asked Gio: “What’s my favourite day of the week?” to which he immediately replied, “Wednesday.” That’s odd, she thought: “Why Wednesday?” Giorgi laughed: “That’s easy. You teach on Wednesdays.”

He was right. Anita loves teaching Introduction to Social Entrepreneurship & Social Innovation at McGill, and watching her students engage in meaningful social impact.

There are a million things Anita loves about teaching, but near the top is any invitation to mentor whip-smart Millennials. This usually involves two things: Reminding them YABTYTYA (you are better than you think you are), and stepping out of their way when they’re up to something amazing. Which is nearly always.
